Description
A Week of French Language Cinema exemplifies the variety and vibrancy of contemporary French language filmmakers, taking place March 18-23.
For the fourteenth year straight, Théâtre Raymond Kabbaz (TRK) in collaboration with the Consulates General of Switzerland, France, Belgium, Canada, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, the Quebec Government Office in Los Angeles, and Le Lycée Français de Los Angeles present A Week of French Language Cinema, with nightly screenings of critically acclaimed French language films, from Saturday, March 18th through Thursday, March 23, 2023.
A Week of French Language Cinema is organized annually to coincide with the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF)’s celebration of the French language and Francophone culture on March 20th. The event is the perfect showcase to present the artistry of alternative, French-language voices and a vision of human relationships, global challenges, and values that is reflected throughout this year’s program.
Tickets for each screening are only $5, or $25 for the whole week (9 movies), and include a free, pre-screening cheese and charcuterie tasting at 7pm, and access to an exhibition of works by Swiss actor and photographer Carlos Leal.
All films with English subtitles.
